Getting to the Phowa Retreat Site & Places to Stay Nearby
                                                                                                                          RETREAT LOCATION & DIRECTIONS
The Phowa retreat will be held at the Tamang Community Center/Cooperation Society (TCS), located at 1107 Stallion Rd, El Sobrante, CA.  To get there by driving from I-80, take either the Hilltop Mall exit if coming from the south or the Appian Way exit if coming from the north or east.  TCS is approximately:
- 12 miles north of the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge,
- 12 miles north of downtown Berkeley,  
- 22 miles from downtown San Francisco,
- 33 miles from SFO airport, 25 miles from the Oakland International airport, and 72 miles from the Sacramento international airport.  
                                                                                                                            If you are not driving, you can take the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) to the Richmond or Del Norte BART Stations and from there, take a ride share service (Uber/Lyft) or a combination of bus/walking.  
HOTEL AND MOTEL ACCOMODATIONS
There are many hotels and motels near TCS.  Please visit the following LINK for a comprehensive list of hotels nearby TCS at 1107 Stallion Road, El Sobrante.  The Days Inn and Motel 6 are budget friendly motels within easy walking distance of TCS.  The Courtyard by Marriott and the Extended Stay are somewhat more expensive hotels that are still nearby but on the other side of highway 80 so they probably require driving to TCS.
